List of Catechists/helpers

Are you interested in helping out with Faith Formation?

The Parish Faith Formation Program relies on the generosity of many volunteers who serve as catechists, catechist's aides and office aides. Through this program, the young people of our parish in grades one through ten come to know and experience Jesus in their lives on an ongoing basis. If you wish to help and feel you need additional training, assistance and training is provided.

Classes are held on Sunday mornings after the 9:00 AM Mass at the Good Shepherd Pendleton Site. Check the schedule for dates.

Catechist and catechist's aide preparation for each class is necessary. The time commitment for this ministry is approximately 2 - 3 hours per week, from September through May.

Faith Formation opportunities for Adults

To learn more about participating in any of these ministries, contact the Parish Office at 716-625-8594

Advocates for Disabilities

Good Shepherd Parish Advocates for Disabilities not only encourages awareness of persons with disabilities in our Christian community but also promotes another important aspect that must not be overlooked. When we think of people with disabilities in relation to ministry, we tend to consider doing something for them without realizing that they might participate in ministry with us. Moreover, they have the same duty and desire as all members of the community to serve the Lord, according to their God given talents and capacity.

Adult Bible Study

Bible Study is a chance for us to really delve into the Word and come to a greater understanding of the Heart of God. Bible Study Classes are offered for adults who wish to deepen their understanding of the Sacred Scriptures and their prayer life. They are an important tool for spiritual growth in the parish community.
