FALL FAITH TALKS

These faith talks are held at Good Shepherd, St. Augustine Campus location, 8700 Goodrich Road, Clarence Center and are led by Deacon Steve Gajewski. The first date for this fall session is Wednesday, September 18th at 7:00 pm. All are invited to attend. Light refreshments are served.

WHAT IS TRUTH? - RCIA

Our modern world sees Truth as about perspective. We know two people can witness the same crime and describe the event in different ways with different conclusions. We may erroneously describe this variance as "his truth" and "her truth."

Yet there is only One Truth. The Truth is knowable because Truth is a Person for Whom and through Whom all creation was made. Find out more as we continue our RCIA Sessions of Inquiry. ALPHA - WHO WILL YOU INVITE?

Have you decided on someone to invite to Alpha starting September 19? Is it a neighbor, relative, friend or co-worder who might appreciate a chance for connection and discussion about the questions of life's meaning and purpose? Maybe you could benefit even if you are a church-goer but feel disengaged or lukewarm or confused.

What happens at Alpha? All sessions start with a time to connect, relax and build friendships. Videos are designed to engage people from all walks of life and inspire conversation. An opportunity is provided for people to respond to the video, hear from others and contribute their own perspective.

This week, we invite you to choose just one person to invite to Alpha. Registration is simple - call the office of any of the parishes in our Family and leave contact information fro an Alpha team member to reach out and get you signed up. Come, Holy Spirit, give us courage to make that invitation with faith and confidence.

DIOCESE OF BUFFALO LADIES OF CHARITY ANNUAL "DRESS FOR LESS" STYLE SHOW AND BASKET FUNDRAISER

September 28th - Theme is Let's Take a Cruise! Doors open at 11am for browsing boutiques and baskets. Boutiques will be open until 12 noon. Also, 30 minutes following the Style Show. Lunch and basket drawings are at 12 noon. Reservations are due Friday, September 13th. $48/person. Commentary by Maryalice Demler, WGRZ News Anchor. PRE-CANA
